  • What is the process for getting our project painted?
    Contact us - this can be done via email, phone or our contact form. Site visit - we will arrange a suitable time to undertake a site visit. This site visit will include viewing the work to be completed, taking measurements and discussing with you your vision. Quote - we will provide you with a quote that covers the work and finish discussed. Acceptance - once you accept the quote we will organise a time for the works to be completed and book in the work. Undertake the work - once your scheduled date comes around, we will be on site undertaking the work for you.
  • What areas do you service?
    Currently we service the Brisbane area, whether it be north, south, east or west. If your work is beyond this area, please still get in touch and we can see what is possible.
  • What services do you offer?
    Our services can be explored on our website, but in summary: - Residential services, both interior and exterior - Commercial services - Property maintenance services - Consultation services - for the DIY clients These services are not exclusive, if you have a project that you feel doesn't fit into any of these categories get in touch and Marco will be more than happy to have a chat.
  • Do you provide free quotes?
    Yes, our quotes are free with no-obligations.
  • What paints do you use?
    At Everlasting Painting we mainly use Haymes or Wattyl, however we can utilise other brands to suit our clients if required.
  • Are the fumes toxic?
    Most paints are made with chemicals and release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) however there are now paints on the market that are not toxic and incredibly low VOC. If this is an important matter to you for health or personal reasons, let us know and we can utilise low VOC paints and discuss this further with you at our site visit.
  • How much will my project cost?
    There is no one answer to this. Rates vary depending on the preparation required, the substrates utilised and desired colour. We understand that cost is a big factor for many which is why we offer free quotes.
  • How long will it take to paint my house?
    Every job is different and there are many factors at play when establishing timeframes. Some factors are easy to navigate such as calculating preparation work, others are beyond our control such as weather. Each project will be given an estimated time frame with the quote and acceptance stage and we aim to work within these timeframes to ensure 100% client satisfaction.
  • Do I need to do any preparation work?
    All quotes as a standard will include the required preparation work. If you would prefer to take on some of the preparation work yourself you’re more than welcome and we can discuss this at the site visit.
  • How long will it be between accepting the quote and having the work completed?
    Trades within the construction industry are currently in very high demand so there is no set lead time. However we can work with you to find the best possible timeframe to suit your requirements.
  • How can you guarantee my personal belongings from paint damage?
    All fragile furniture (eg: tvs, cabinets, tables, etc) will be covered by plastic and all surrounding floors will be covered with drop sheets. In some instances we may recommend certain items be removed from the area.
  • How can I maintain my newly painted areas?
    By taking care around the newly painting areas and cleaning the substrates regularly with a mild detergent such as watered down sugar soap. It's also important to clean the substrates as soon as you notice marks or dirt.
  • Will painting disrupt my business?
    There may be minor disruptions however prior to commencing the work we will discuss an action plan with you and liaise to ensure it causes minimal disturbance.
  • What are the benefits of painting my business?
    Painting your commercial space can increase how clients or customers view your business and it can increase employees morale. You can also use painting as a way to emphasise your branding and the perspective you want people to have on your business.
  • How do you manage safety?
    At Everlasting Painting we hold the safety of our team and our clients highly. We are fully insured, operate works within our Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and provide signage and barricades.
  • Can you quote from plans?
    Yes, we certainly can. Obviously a quote from plans will never be 100% as there is always room for difference so a site visit will always be undertaken prior to commencement to confirm or adjust the original quote.
  • Can you undertake other works such as plastering repair?
    We offer minor plastering works, once the work goes beyond our capabilities though we can outsource the works to relevant professionals and manage these trades for you.
  • Can you work in a tight timeframe to suit tenants?
    Provided we are given sufficient notice and timing we can work within timeframes to suit both landlords and tenants.
  • Can I just DIY?
    We understand cost is a factor that holds many people back from hiring a professional painter. We offer a consultation service for those that want to do DIY which includes attending site, observing the job and the vision then providing clients with a document that gives tips and processes specific to that DIY work.
  • What is most important when DIY?
    If you opt for DIY our best piece of advice is don’t cut the preparation short and ensure all walls are cleaned and surrounding substrates are covered using plastic, painters tape and drop sheets.
  • What issues am I likely to face with DIY?
    Painting can be much fiddlier than some think. Common issues with DIY are: - Paint brush strokes - Picture framing - Paint on surrounding surfaces - Uneven coating (thicker in some areas, thin in others) We address these and ways to combat these issues with our consultation service for those wanting to DIY.
